SyneSCA-U3LP

64bit PCI U3WSCSI/LVD/160MBs Adapter Single Channel Low Profile
Perfect Solution for 1U & 2U Rack Servers

INTRODUCTION:

The SyneSCA-U3LP 64bit PCI U3WSCSI/LVD/160MBs host adapter brings true Ultra160 SCSI performance to storage environments such as internal or external RAID subsystems, as well as rackmounts and high performance workstations and servers.

The LSI Logic Storage Device Management System (SDMS™) software offers advance board management to software and the 128KB Flash ROM BIOS provides future upgarde and multiple adapter configurations.

With PCI throughput of 532 MBps, this adapter also capitalizes on maximum system performance for the systems needing high I/O benchmark while it is backward compatible with existing PCI systems.

The SyneSCA-U3LP supports Low Voltage Differential (LVD) and Single-Ended (SE) SCSI. This board supports Fast/Ultra/Ultra2 SCSI devices as well as the newest Ultra160 SCSI devices.

Popular applications include Print, Email, Web and Intranet, Extranet Hosting.

SPECIFICATIONS:

System:

Compatible PCI 32-bit 5V/64-bit 3.3V with 33/66MHZ PCI Bus Speed

PCI Interface:

Fully PCI Local Bus Specification, Revision 2.2 Compliant.

SCSI Port:

The LSI53C1000R contains a SCSI SCRIPTS™ processor that permits both DMA and SCSI commands to be fetched from host memory or internal SCRIPTS RAM. Algorithms written in SCSI SCRIPTS control the actions of the SCSI and DMA cores. The SCRIPTS processor executes complex SCSI bus sequences independently of the host CPU preventing any systems degradation. A  multithreaded I/O algorithm that supports data transfers between the host system and SCSI devices with minimal host processor intervention.
